An MVP is not a smaller product. It is a sharper question. Most teams start building before they have decided what they are actually trying to learn.
Decide the one question
What is the single riskiest assumption? Build the smallest thing that tests it. Everything else is a distraction with a deadline.
Decide what you will not build
Scope is defined by your noes, not your yeses. Write down what is explicitly out of scope — it is the most valuable document you will make.
Decide how you will know
Pick the signal that means the assumption held. If you cannot name it in advance, you are building on faith, not evidence.
Build the smallest thing that answers the riskiest question — but decide the question first.
